Today after lunch, I was about to ride the elevator up to my floor & this man came into the building carrying 4 large boxes. I didn’t pay much attention since I was waiting for the elevator, but I could softly over hear a few words about making a delivery & having to sign in.
Ding went the elevator, so I climbed in to take the ride & here comes the guy with his boxes. As we were riding up, I couldn’t help but notice his arms shaking a bit with the weight. By this time, the elevator was pretty cramped & I couldn’t make out the writing on the boxes. By the time I got back to my desk, I had completely forgotten the elevator & my head was already back in code land. I didn’t realize that one of those boxes that must’ve been heavy were sitting on the kitchenette until about an hour later.
I realized that this was one of THOSE boxes from the elevator, so of course I was curious. The box contained a variety of fruit. The name that I couldn’t make out earlier was clear, FruitMyCube. It was a nice little surprise to see a locally grown fruit distributed by a local market in a Corporate office.
I picked up a brochure on my way and found that FruitMyCube, which is only a few miles away gives a portion of every sale goes to charity & their parent company (The Belleville Farmer’s Market) has been in business for 30 years. Learn more about FruitMyCube.
